The Albany Patroons

During the 1992-93 Continental Basketball Association season, I wrote a series of "historical game reports" for the Albany Patroons' game-time program. Each issue featured a famous game from the Patroons' past. Famous coaches like Phil Jackson and George Karl coached here; NBA players like Mario Elie, Vince Askew and Scott Brooks spent time with this team. Other stars, like Derrick Rowland, Lowes Moore, Frankie J. Sanders and Paul Graham, became more celebrated in the CBA than they ever did in the NBA. Now that the Patroons are returning to the Continental Basketball Association, beginning with the 2005-2006 season, here's your chance to go back in time and read about the legacy of the Albany Patroons' first incarnation.
